How we curate the Prompy library

Prompy is not a random feed. Every public prompt is published on purpose, and every placement on the site is chosen by an editor.

When a prompt is approved it can appear in Explore. That is the full library: search, type, category, and sort. Homepage, Hot, and Trending are separate flags. A prompt can live in all four places, in one of them, or only in Explore. Unchecking a flag removes it from that section immediately. Nothing “trends” because a script decided it should.

Why curation matters

AI prompt sites fall apart when they dump every upload onto the front page. Visitors cannot tell a finished recipe from a draft. Creators cannot tell if their work was actually seen. We would rather show fewer looks that hold together — lighting, lens, wardrobe, and identity constraints written in full — than a wall of unfinished text.

The cover image is part of the record. It is a reference still for the recipe, not a thumbnail we generated on the fly. If the cover is replaced in Admin, the public page shows the new file. The old file does not come back unless someone uploads it again.

What editors actually check

Before a prompt goes live we look at three things. First, is the recipe usable: does it describe a look clearly enough that someone can paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Flux, Veo, or another listed model? Second, is it identity-safe: no request to copy a private person’s face, no sexual content involving minors, no obvious stolen commercial campaign. Third, does the cover match the prompt well enough that the card is honest?

We may recategorize a prompt, ask for a clearer title, or reject it with a note. Rejection is not a ban. Creators can rewrite and submit again.

How you can use this

If you are browsing, treat Hot and Trending as editor shelves, not popularity contests. If you are publishing, assume Explore is the default home for your work. Homepage placement is reserved for looks we are willing to put next to the brand.

That is how Prompy stays a directed library instead of a slot machine.
